But thankfully, this giant pile of crap is almost entirely gone, and is soon to be replaced by my new desk and COMPUTER (if it ever arrives--I paid $89 for S&H and it is still going to be like two weeks, argh)!
That's right, I'm racing into the 21st century, and will soon have the internets in my very own living room. It's like magic!
I also researched internet phone options and it looks like Net Zero Voice will be perfect. I can get a 510 number to use for the intercom and have it forwarded for free to my cell phone, all for the bargain price of $4/month. So now you people can email/call/drop by any time! Not that I'm going to respond/answer/buzz you in, but I could if I wanted to!

Cool! I had no idea VOIP has gotten that cheap! I was going to suggest a measured rate land line from SBC for about 15 bucks, but 4 is so much better.
